So…. Last year my mom and I went out to Round Top, Texas for a road trip when we stumbled upon this Antique Fair. Once a year, TONS of vendors set up camp for 4 days and sell their stuff from around the world. There are soooo many vendors I think we only saw about 1/10th of what was out there each time. Although there were a lot of beautiful things, I mainly took pictures of the creepy stuff I found. Halloween must be on my mind!

I LOVE peacock colors and I love the color teal in the fall. Buying pieces in this color is a great buy because it stays in season every fall. This top is on sale at ASOS and could be paired with leggings, pants, or a fur vest like the one I need in the picture below. 🙂 Moving on to the booties– 1) I realize no one wears heels in the woods or while tromping through tall grass but we were on a time limit and I’m a little shy to take pictures out in public so my sisters yard had to suffice. Most of these pictures came out really silly because we couldn’t stop laughing. I was attempting to be a fierce model which I am not. 2) I love these booties. They’re from target and are one of my favorite shoes right now because they’re comfortable, cute, and cheap (I should buy 2). Tomorrow my sister, mom and I are taking a road trip to Round Top, Texas for a big antique fair. I’m pretty excited and will post some of the cool stuff we find!

I have had this top for quite a while but never really liked it with jeans, or black/white pants. I found a similar shirt on pinterest paired with yellow shorts and loved the color combo. I did some online shopping and found these awesome linen scallop hem shorts on ASOS y me gusta!! Since its already Fall they were on sale and since its still hot in Texas I have a few more weeks to enjoy these before next spring.

The cute kid in my photos is my awesome nephew Liam! Next month is the big DSACT (down syndrome association of central Texas) buddy walk. DSACT’s mission is to “provide education, support, and resources to individuals with Down syndrome, their families, professionals, and the community, while building public awareness and acceptance of individuals with Down syndrome.”           Visit our page – LIAMS LIONS!

This week has been super hectic. Definitely feeling the stress of work, school, interning, and balancing a social life! Anyways, with the busy schedule I decided to blog about this Free People dress I have been wearing a lot of lately. Its a quick outfit choice for the girl on the go-(Hell I could have worn a slip underneath but I was serious about the on-the-go part. hah)  🙂

Nordstrom is having another sale which equals trouble in my book. I prefer to stick with the basic colors when it comes to shoes because they can be worn during any season and with more outfits. It can be a tad overwhelming when shopping sales online so I narrowed down a few of my favorites that I found. I realize labor day is upon us and wearing white is considered a “dont” however I plan on rocking some of these 3.1 Phillip Lim white booties well after Monday! Sale ends Sept 9th!

Red Carpet Manicure

Prepping your nails and removing the cuticle is the most important step to insure a long lasting manicure. Pictured above are all the tools you will need in order to have perfect paws. MEOW

1) Nail Polish Remover: If you have shellac or gel polish on already remove it by placing a cotton ball soaked in remover on each nail, then wrap each finger tightly in foil for about 10-15 minutes. This will safely remove the polish without damaging your nail. You will also use remover over your nails after your final top coat of gel polish to remove any residue. (There are products out that are specifically for this, like this one here however, I found that one swipe of regular nail polish remover works just the same.)  2) Cotton Balls  3) Sally Hanson Healthy Cuticle Now Cuticle Cream (I use this post prep but before applying the new polish) 4) Sally Hanson Instant Cuticle Remover (I leave this on about 2 minutes) 5) Buffing Block (Use this last) 6)  File  7) Clippers  8) Cuticle Nippers  9) Cuticle Pusher (one of the ones I use, has a really sharp edge to remove any stubborn cuticle clinging on to your nail then I use the nippers to cut off the excess.)

You will need a Gel Base Coat, top Coat, your choice of color polish and a LED light. I have the OPI LED light and really like how small and portable it is. My favorite gel nail polish by far is the Red Carpet Manicure Polishes. They have a huge selection of colors and my nails last at least 2 weeks without any chips. I use OPI base and top coat and don’t notice a big difference here when it comes to which brand I use. You can buy the starter OPI kit here although I don’t like the color or quality of the colored nail polishes it comes with as much as the Red Carpet Colors. I got the kit for christmas last year and have been obsessed since.

This weekend my sister and I went out to visit my mom. The horses were out grazing and super curious about what we were up to so I had to include them in my pictures. I have always loved horses and would love to have another horse one day! It was so brutally hot this weekend and my jeans were glued to my body, I cannot wait for fall! Paige Jeans are one of my favorite brands of denim because they fit my ‘spongebob’ figure (skinny legs, zero behind, square torso.) SQUATS SQUATS SQUATS… I got this pair at Nordstrom rack so I couldn’t find a link for them, however I recommend giving any style of Paige Denim a try if you fit any of that description as well.
